Nick Drake Pink Moon

You can say the sun is shining if you really want to
I can see the moon and it seems so clear
You can take the road that takes you to the stars now
I can take a road that'll see me through
I can take a road that'll see me through.

You can take the road that takes you to the stars now
I can take a road that'll see me through
I can take a road that'll see me through
I can take a road that'll see me through.

He recorded "Pink Moon" in two nights, singing without accompaniment except for his guitar playing and a rare over-dubbed piano accent, doing most songs in one take. Wood assumed that these were preliminary tracks, and he asked Nick how he would like them arranged. "I don't want them arranged,"Nick replied. "No frills." The album was short, and Wood asked if Nick could add anything. "He didn't want any more songs. He had no more material, and he thought that part of the deal. And he was right. I wouldn't want to hear any more before turning it over. If something's that intense, it can't really be measured in minutes." [Arthur Lubow]
